| Build it yourself: 802.11a Backhaul / Relay |
We found some cheap 802.11a APs and used them to build an 802.11a-based backhaul for our ongoing SocalFreeNet project. Total cost: $450 - for both ends of the link - normally closer to $1500!
| Build it Yourself: High End Outdoor Access Point |
We're installing a lot of community wireless nodes with our SocalFreeNet project, so it made a lot of sense to design and describe a standard outdoor AP, based on a Soekris< board running m0n0wall.
